Hot and no rain yet! We’re ready for it! We had a great 4th of July weekend. The Munns and the Lloyds came up to visit from Albuquerque, and we went up to the festivities at Taos Ski Valley. They had a mini parade and some other crazy non-traditional stuff that’s fun for here. Sage and Isaac did get to ride horses, which was such a special treat. Sage has been into horses lately. In fact, we had just watched “Flicka” that morning. Anyway, can you guess what the name of the horse Sage got to ride was? Fancy. Is that too perfect, or what? Sage and Fancy had a ball. Anyway, we had a nice dinner and were able to watch the fireworks from the driveway again. Somehow we crammed everybody into the house. Hopefully, everyone was comfortable. And we checked out some popular sites the next day. My kids were beat. They’ve taken great naps today! It was so much fun to see old friends again and catch up. I think we’ll try to convince Beth and Chance to just move next door to us up here. Chance could handle the commute, couldn’t he? It’s crazy to think that pretty much anywhere we go, we will most likely know someone from Moscow. Pretty neat.
I'm speechless! Heidi Herd (Foster) here What the heck! I can't believe I have had such a find! I love blogsurfing! What an adorable fam! New Mexico huh? Chickens?! You'll never cease to surprise me, Moe. I miss you! Email me so you can jump on my blog's band wagon (we're private) heidiherd@gmail.com
We are enjoying ourselves in Taos, New Mexico – where the desert meets the mountains and the people are anywhere and everywhere in between. Jacob is happily working at the BLM, where he takes any excuse to get out into the field. And Morgan is SO happy that she can be a stay-at-home mom and have days where there is no where in particular that she has to go, except now that she has to take Sage to and from school. Oh well.
The Kids
Sage
Sage is 7! Crazy! She is quite the little girl, learning fast and loving life. She still loves school, playing with friends, and her best buddy, Keiger. Most of the time, she has her nose in a book. She loves to read! She is also learning to swim all by herself.
Keiger
Keiger is 4 years and growing so big! He's such a sweet little boy. He still loves sports, especially soccer, and playing games! He can do a mean belly-flop.
Finneas
Finneas is such a character. Nearly 2 years old and crazy as ever. Exuberant and FULL of energy.
